About me

I am a daughter, a wife, a mother, a photographer, a crossfitter and a Doula! Together my husband and I raise 3 small beautiful children, own and run a Crossfit Gym (Crossfit Visalia), work for our local church (Rocky Hill Community Church) and serve our community with precious photographs that will last a lifetime and beyond. We have been so blessed that our ultimate desire is to bless others. That is our focus and that is how we strive to live our lives. Simple, right?

Why?

One definition of Photography that I learned while in school at the San Francisco Art Institute working towards my BFA was this; Photography simply is painting with light. Today, with our digital world, a better definition would be capturing with light.

Light has captivated me for as long as I can remember. It is what drew me towards a camera and what has kept me behind it. Although natural light is what excites me most, the decor and staging process of studio work has inspired me to explore this area of photography as well.
While in college I specialized in Landscape Photography because I love the fine art details of a perfectly framed and well lit photograph. It wasn’t until I had children of my own that my heart grew towards the beauty within people. It was only natural for me to desire photographing weddings, families, birth and children. All of these elements in life absolutely thrill me!

In school, it was all about a technically well produced photograph. Although this is so valuable, my photographs now run deeper. They are more about true character, beauty, small details and sacred moments. The greatest gift within Photography is capturing a moment and allowing it to last for generations. What a blessing for the coming generations in the family line. For History. For Communities. There is nothing quite like looking through your grandparents old photo albums and touching those old black and white or dusty colored prints. It amazes me when thinking about what my grandchildren will be left with. This is why I do what I do.

With all of that said, more than anything, I am in awe of Gods Creation and I feel deeply blessed for the opportunity to combine and capture nature+people. (Animals are welcome too!) If you are looking for stained cherished moments, I would be honored to make that happen for you.
